Outreach

LaFayette Outreach is an organization that provides a wide variety of social services to the LaFayette community and School District, the Onondaga Nation, and the southern part of Onondaga County.  The organization started at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in 1981.  In 1992 it was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. The food pantry operates from St. Joseph's Church -- NOT Columbian Presbyterian Church. Current members of the organization include the Church of the Nativity, Columbian Presbyterian Church, Onativia United Methodist Church, Apple Valley United Methodist Church and LaFayette Alliance Church.  It is also supported by local organizations, businesses and individuals. The bylaws state that “the purpose for which the organization is formed is to provide services to the elderly, the poor, and the disadvantaged who live in the southern part of Onondaga County.”  LaFayette Outreach is located at the Church of the Nativity about a mile east of LaFayette’s town center on US Route 20.  You can reach the LaFayette Outreach Office by calling (315) 677-5221. Hours are: Tuesdays 9:30am to 12noon Thursdays 5:00pm to 6:30pm Other times may also be arranged by calling the Outreach office.
